After twenty years in the military, Shawn discovered a deep desire to spend his retired days in the peace and quiet of the country. And, after a series of health problems he concluded he would have to seek out a healthier diet. The foods he was seeing available in an average grocery store would not do. Soon after this combined lifestyle change, Safe Foods LLC was born. Family owned and operated, since 2014, Safe Foods LLC fulfilled the need for days spent outdoors, and the ability to provide clean eating for his family, and community. Safe Foods has grown quickly into a passion to better the lives of those around the Warrensburg, Missouri area.
ABOUT SAFE FOODS LLC
Safe Food LLC is a Warrensburg, Missouri based company existing to provide Warrensburg, and the surrounding areas, with protein rich, low fat, healthy, safe foods. The poultry products include whole birds, chicken cuts (thighs, wings, drumsticks, backs, livers, hearts, and skinless, boneless breasts), and chicken feet dog treats, and eggs (when available). We are excited to expand to include lamb meat in the near future.
Safe Foods LLC currently sells products in person at the Warrensburg Famers' Market, and online from this website. Once ordered, the products are delivered via a scheduled food drop every Monday at noon, at 500 N. Ridgeview Dr. Warrensburg, MO.

Safe Foods chickens are procured as hatchlings when they are just days old. They go directly into a brooder for two while they get adjusted to living outside. During these two weeks, our chicks outgrow the brooder and get moved to the chicken tractors. Our chicken tractors house between 30-32 chickens, and each tractor moves to fresh grass every day. On week 8, our birds get shipped off to Purdin Poultry Processing, a USDA-certified processing facility.
